Take a seat at a wooden communal table; exposed piping and red brick walls gives the space a reclaimed industrial look that’s a pleasant reminder of its boiler building past. A true Nashville original, hot chicken was born more than 70 years ago at Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack. Legend has it Thornton Prince, founder of Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack, was quite the womanizer back in the 1940s. His girlfriend decided to teach him a lesson by serving him fried chicken seasoned with hot pepper spices as revenge! The Frist Art Museum is a nonprofit art center that showcases top-notch exhibitions, creates educational programs, and engages with the community. Located right in the heart of Downtown Nashville, admission is free for guests 18 and younger and $15 for adults.
Nashville Sounds Baseball Game
Milwaukee Brewer’s Triple-A affiliate team the Nashville Sounds is located in Germantown just minutes from downtown Nashville. Purchase same-day tickets at the walk-up counter and enjoy the game and ballpark concessions from the grassy outfield during the summer.
